Zionsville Economic Development

The Zionsville Economic Development Commission was established in 2008.

I. MISSION:
The mission of the Zionsville Economic Development Commission is to promote and facilitate economic development in and around the Town of Zionsville in accordance with its statutory authority and the support and direction of the Zionsville Town Council and its duly designated representatives, and in a manner that is consistent with the historically unique character and qualities of the Town of Zionsville.

II. OBJECTIVES:
• To provide a public forum for the expression and discussion of ideas, desires, concerns and questions regarding economic development in and around Zionsville.
• To provide a mechanism for financing economic development projects in and around Zionsville in accordance with its statutory authority.
• To work with and facilitate coordination among the various entities having responsibility for and/or an interest in economic development in and around Zionsville.
• To investigate and evaluate opportunities for economic development in and around Zionsville and to provide reports and recommendations to the Zionsville Town Council and its duly designated representatives regarding those opportunities.
• To develop an economic development plan that incorporates and expands upon the portions of the existing comprehensive plan of the Town of Zionsville relating to economic development.
• To monitor progress with the economic development plan for the Town of Zionsville and with economic development generally in and around Zionsville.
